This is a sketch of the forster eye clinic building. The drawing took just over 1 hour to complete. It is a
2 point perpective drawing.
I started by drawing in a rough horizon line which ran just under the air conditioning unit. Then using the sighting method i began measuring the propotions of the building.I used the measurements from nearest corner of the building to gauge the height of the roof and the length of the building, then after creating my 2 vanishing points i began to draw the outine of the buildings walls and roof.
Once i was happy with the shape i began to add more details like the windows and air conditioning unit.Once again i used the corner of the building as a base measurement for the windows.I then began to add some more detail to the brickwork of the building to try add texture to the sketch. I then began to shade the sketch by adding some dark and mid tones.
This drawing took 45 minutes. It is a 1 point perspective of a corridor in the green.I started by drawing a faint horizon line,as i was sat down in the hallway this was quite low. After creating my vanishing point i then began to draw some faint guideline from the vanishing point to the edges of my paper to create a rough shape for the corridor.I then began to add some of the details like the doors, frames and notice boards, making sure that they all ran a long my vainshing point guidelines.
This is a quick sketch that took 20 minutes.Although drawn with a ruler this was a good exercise for me and my first time drawing using a 3 point perspective.
Is started by drawing a horizon line and creating 2 vanishing points.I then began drawing two intersecting lines from each vp to create the roof of my first building. After creating my third vanishing point, i then began to draw in some of the walls.I left in the ruler lines to show how the horizontal and vertical lines connect to each vanishing point.
