Week 7

This drawing took 25 minutes.I was trying to replicate a wide variety of materials and reflective textures.This sketch shows the difference between the cloth that is draped over the table and the reflective qualities of the copper vase and the dull,matt finish of the tin.The vase in this compostion is somewhat orphaned from the rest of the objects so a better viewing point was probably necessary.

This is a 30 minute sketch of some kitchen objects.I was trying to create a composition using contrasting surfaces from wood to tissue to glass and steel.The tissue from this image had no reflectivity and barely any shadow so i tried to recreate the texture of the tissue using cross hatching.The glass was hard to draw as it had water in it distorting the light and also the objects behind it.
