Final Drawings

This 25 minute life drawing shows good balance, weight and gesture.The way the curvature of the spine and the way the arm rests on the leg portray a good sense of gesture as well as active and passive side to the form.

This landscape drawing took 50 minutes.Although a good representation of the landscape I was drawing,the overall compostion lacks in sense of perspective and tonal value.

This still life drawing shows a variety of different materials ranging from wood,chrome, plastic and glass.Taking care to avoid orphaned objects I believe the overall compostion lacks interest as well as weight of line.

Week 12

 This sketch shows good balance and weight.The image lacks detail but accurately demonstrates how the human figure appears grounded and the weight of the head appears to be supported by the hand and arm,which rests on the models thigh.Gesture is shown im the image by the curvature of the spine and the angle of the head as the model sits in a 'thinking pose'

This quick sketch demonstrates balance and weight of the human body as the model leans on the chair.Although lacking in detail the drawing shows that the weight of the body has been shifted to the front leg and evenly spread across both shoulders.
